No, Tua Tagaovailoa never won the Heisman Trophy. In 2018, as the quarterback at Alabama, he finished second in the voting behind Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray.

That season, Tagovailoa threw for 3,966 yards and 43 touchdowns to six interceptions.ย 

While that wasnโ€™t good enough to win the Heisman, he did win the Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp Award. He was also a consensus All-American, first-team All-SEC, and the Sporting News College Football Player of the Year.ย 

Alabama lost to Clemson 44-16 in the national championship game.
