The AP poll generally releases new college football rankings every Sunday, often early in the afternoon for those on Eastern Standard Time. 

When Do the College Football Playoff Rankings Come Out?

The first edition of the 2024 College Football Playoff Rankings were released on ESPN on the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 5. The CFP rankings will be updated and re-released every Tuesday night through the end of the regular season.

After that, the CFP will be set, and fans can move their focus to the College Football Playoff schedule.
