Here are MLB betting picks and predictions based on MLB odds for today’s schedule:
MLB Predictions Today: Sunday, Oct. 6
Best Bet: Bryce Harper 0.5 Walks (+130)
Mets vs. Phillies – 4:08 p.m. ET
» Bet Bryce Harper’s MLB player props at BetMGM
After cashing this prop in Saturday’s Game 1, I wasted no time taking advantage of the opening MLB postseason odds for this market. I’d bet on Philadelphia Phillies’ Bryce Harper to record a walk at +110 or better against the New York Mets in Sunday’s Game 2.
Harper managed to record two walks in a defeat during the opener. He cashed a +125 wager to record one free pass in the process.
Opposing teams have learned to pitch around Harper a bit more due to his clutch hitting in the playoffs. During last year’s postseason run, he earned 13 walks in as many games.
Best Bet: Padres-Dodgers Over 8 (-110)
Padres vs. Dodgers – 8:03 p.m. ET
» Bet this MLB total at BetMGM
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ World Series odds took a step in the right direction, securing a thrilling 7-5 victory over the San Diego Padres in Saturday’s Game 1 of the NLDS.
I like betting on offense in Sunday’s Game 2, primarily after both teams used their best starter and 10 total relievers in the opener. The Dodgers rank second in the majors with an average of 5.21 runs per game, while the Padres are eighth at 4.69 runs per outing.
Ballpark Pal’s model projects more than nine runs, so I will bet over on this current total at -115 or better.
