At this point in the season, Los Angeles Angels catcher Logan O’Hoppe has the most overturns via the Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System. He has won 10 challenges via the ABS thus far.
According to Baseball Savant’s ABS leaderboard, O’Hoppe is 10-for-12 on challenges as a catcher.
As for the batters, Philadelphia Phillies designated hitter Kyle Schwarber leads the way with four successful overturns.
Since this is the inaugural season using ABS, it will be interesting to see which players prove most effective at challenging strike-zone calls throughout the year.
