Patriots vs Bears Prediction

Based on New England’s ability to move the ball as a road underdog and Chicago’s misleading defensive record, my Bears vs Patriots prediction is the Patriots Spread (+3, -118).

I’m going to monitor this game throughout the week as New England faces some potentially key injury absences. Romeo Doubs, Alijah Vera-Tucker and Morgan Moses all exited against the Jets.

I’m not entirely convinced it matters against a potentially fraudulent Bears defense.

Dennis Allen guided his defense to strong performances against the Eagles and Jets. My belief? It’s not representative of Chicago’s true defensive quality.

Corner Kyler Gordon returned from injury against Atlanta, though, so I want to be cautious with Chicago. If, however, the return is overblown, this game could get ugly for Chicago.

New England showed its offensive prowess as an underdog against the Bills, winning 29-24 as seven-point pups.

It began a strong run from Drake Maye, who earned three straight wins. Including poor showing against Seattle, Pittsburgh and Jacksonville, the Patriots rank 13th in pass DVOA.

Chicago ranks 14th on defense against the pass. Most of the rating stems from quality performances against Minnesota, Philadelphia and the Jets.

Excluding Week 6, Chicago has faced the 29th-easiest set of opposing offenses. Additionally, their Week 6 win at Atlanta is a tad misleading.

Chicago won 31-23, but it scored 10 points off two Atlanta special teams turnovers. The Bears added a third takeaway to hide the fact it lost 5.1-5.0 on yards per play.

Those factors, to me, make it New England or nothing on Thursday night.
