In 2025, Bucs head coach Todd Bowles takes over defensive coordinator duties.
The move ends a three-year tenure for co-coordinators Larry Foote and Kacy Rodgers. Foote remains on staff for 2025, but Rodgers departs for Detroit.
Bowles has lots of defensive coordinator experience before becoming a head coach. Since starting as an NFL coach in 2000, Bowles has worked for three teams as DC, including Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay promoted Bowles to head coach from defensive coordinator. Bowles worked that role from 2019-21 under Bruce Arians.
He also spent two seasons as the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator from 2013-14. Under Bowles, Arizona ranked seventh and fifth in points allowed.
His final stop as a DC came with the Eagles in 2012. In Philadelphia, Bowles stepped in as the interim defensive coordinator midway through the season.
Prior to earning DC roles, Bowles worked for four teams focusing on the secondary. His stops: New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins.
