Matt Nagy enters his third year as the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator.
Nagy earned most of his NFL work under Andy Reid.
He began coaching in 2008. For two years, he served as an Eagles coaching intern. Three more years in Philadelphia followed:
- Coaches’ Assistant (2010)
- Off. Quality Control (2011-12)
Nagy began his first spell with the Chiefs in 2013. For four years, he worked as Kansas City’s QB’s coach.
In 2017, the Chiefs elevated Nagy to OC.
A year later, he took the Bears’ head coach job. Nagy led the Bears to 12 wins in 2018 to win the NFC North.
But Chicago struggled in Nagy’s final three years. From 2019-21, the Bears went 22-27 with no playoff wins.
Chicago fired Nagy after the 2021 season. He then returned to KC as the QB’s coach.
After a year, Kansas City elevated him once again to OC. Nagy has held that role since 2023.
