Chiefs Over Under Wins, 2026 NFL Win Totals

New Player OfferBetting Promos
  • The Chiefs’ 2026 win total is set at 10.5 wins at BetMGM.
  • Kansas City finished with six wins in 2025 against an 11.5 win total.
  • I predict the Chiefs finish over 10.5 wins due to improvement in the AFC West.

For the 2026 NFL season, the Chiefs win total sits at 10.5 wins at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Kansas City took a massive step back in 2025. After falling in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs went from 15 wins to six, ending a long streak of AFC West titles.

Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL in the process as the Chiefs lost six straight to close the regular season. As a result, oddsmakers moved Kansas City’s win total down one win.

Here’s a look at the NFL odds for Kansas City’s 2026 win total and my Chiefs win total prediction.

Chiefs Win Total Odds

The Chiefs’ season win total is set at 10.5 games.

Oddsmakers shade the outcome of Kansas City’s win total slightly to the under. Currently, over 10.5 wins is priced at +110 while under 10.5 wins is priced at -130.

Here are the 2026 NFL win totals for all AFC West teams:

Chiefs Win Total Prediction 2026

Based on Kansas City’s bad luck last season and presumed offensive improvement under Eric Bienemy, I predict the Chiefs finish Over 10.5 Wins (-102).

I won’t fault anyone wanting to support Chiefs over wins. However, I believe there are better attack angles for the Chiefs at superior prices.

For example, Chiefs over 10.5 wins is currently -102, whereas Chiefs to win the AFC West is +180. Based on 2026 win totals, the Chiefs play the easiest schedule amongst the AFC West.

My concern with Kansas City’s win total is that there are still many unknowns about this team. If those concerns pan out, it wouldn’t surprise me to see a 10-7 Chiefs team win the division.

Let’s start with the good news. Kansas City finished 2.8 wins under expected last year due to a 1-9 record in one-possession games. That came a year after they finished 11-0 in such games.

Andy Reid’s team finished 1-5 in divisional games after going 5-1 in 2024. Opponents converted 97% of field goal tries in 2025 after converting 77.5% of tries in 2024.

Kansas City’s field goal conversion delta – FG percentage minus opponent FG percentage – stood at -10.1%. Only four teams posted worse luck percentages.

The problem I have with Kansas City is on defense.

Last season, Kansas City ranked 13th in DVOA against offenses that averaged a -1.5% DVOA rating. By last year’s ratings, Kansas City’s 2026 opponents averaged a +0.2% rating.

To think the Chiefs win 11 or more games, you have to think one of two things is true:

  • The offense is so good with a quarterback off a torn ACL that the defensive performance doesn’t matter
  • The defensive schedule plays significantly less difficult than expected.

I’m willing to entertain the possibility that Steve Spagnuolo flexes and deploys a strong defense. But one look at the depth chart at corner and safety leaves much to be desired.

One also has to wonder if there are going to be growing pains with a new OC.

Offensively, I like the Chiefs a lot. GM Brett Veach added Kenneth Walker III in free agency. The Super Bowl LX MVP instantly provides an upgrade over Isiah Pacheco.

Whether that offensive balance takes time to implement is unknown. Additionally, I don’t love how the schedule breaks down for the Chiefs in terms of home/road splits.

I regard GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium as one of the best home-field advantages in the league. That advantage is slightly mitigated by an easy home schedule.

Kansas City’s eight home opponents average eight wins as the season win total. Conversely, their nine road opponents average a 8.8 season win total.

Outside the division, the Chiefs play seven games against teams expected to win at least eight games. Four of those games – Cincinnati, Seattle, Los Angeles (N) and Buffalo – come on the road.

Given those factors, it’s a slight preference to the over with greater preference within the division.

Most Wins in Chiefs History

The Chiefs’ franchise record for most regular season wins is 15. That came last year in the 2024 NFL season after previously notching 14 wins in 2022 and 2020.

Kansas City appeared in the Super Bowl in all three seasons, winning over the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022. Those of three of six total Super Bowl appearances for the Chiefs.

Fewest Wins in Chiefs History

The Chiefs’ franchise record for the fewest regular-season wins is two. The Chiefs have won just two games in a season three times in their existence, in 1977, 2008, and 2012.
