Cowboys vs Eagles Prediction

Based on the Eagles’ weak defensive metrics over the last four weeks and Dallas’ misleading offensive record, my Eagles vs Cowboys prediction is the Cowboys Over 24.5 Points (-105).

Over 24.5 @ -105 Under 24.5 @ -115

Ill-timed turnovers doomed the Cowboys in recent games against Tampa Bay and Green Bay. Those turnovers contributed to the Cowboys underperforming the final box score.

Last week against the Packers, Dallas scored 13 points against an average unit. However, Dak Prescott threw interceptions on consecutive drives, both from inside the Packers’ 20-yard line.

One occurred at the Packers’ three-yard line. It followed a Week 5 game against the Buccaneers where the Cowboys turned the ball over three times en route to 16 points.

Once again, the timing of those turnovers left points on the board.

Prescott threw two fourth-quarter interceptions against Tampa Bay. Both occurred inside the Bucs’ 25-yard line, with one taking place in the Tampa Bay red zone.

Excluding turnovers, Dallas remains one of the more successful offenses in those two games. The unit’s 47.7% offensive success rate ranked ninth in those two weeks.

Now, the Cowboys offense gets an Eagles defense primed for some regression. Over the last four games, the defense allowed three teams to notch at least four red zone chances.

All four opponents – Chicago, LA Rams, Jacksonville and Carolina – recorded at least three.

Over the last four games, Philadelphia needed turnovers to keep opponents under this line. Since Week 3, the defense ranks 19th in EPA per play and 21st in success rate.

It includes a 49% dropback success rate against those teams. Against a good Cowboys offense, I predict the Eagles regress and allow 25+ for the second straight game.
