  • The Lions’ 2026 win total is set at 10.5 wins at BetMGM.
  • Detroit finished unde this benchmark in 2025, ending a three-year streak clearing its total.
  • I predict the Lions finish over 10.5 wins in 2026 due to an easy schedule and defensive improvement.

For the 2026 NFL season, the Lions’ win total sits at 10.5 wins at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Detroit had a difficult 2025 season. The Lions went from 15 wins in 2024 to only nine last season, moving from first to last in the NFC North.

Injuries once again plagued the defense, with the offense seeing a boost after Dan Campbell took over play-calling. Now, Detroit will look to clear its win total for the fourth time in five seasons.

Here’s a look at the NFL odds for Detroit’s 2026 win total and my Lions win total prediction.

Lions Win Total Odds

The Lions’ season win total is set at 10.5 games for the upcoming season.

Oddsmakers expect the over is the more likely outcome. Currently, Detroit is -120 to win at least 11 games.

Meanwhile, the odds for them to finish with 10 or fewer wins is +100.

Here are the 2026 NFL win totals for all NFC North teams:

Lions Win Total Prediction 2026

Detroit Lions Over 10.5 Wins (-130)

Based on Chicago’s cumulative offensive strength over the last two years and easy schedule in 2026, I predict Detroit finishes Over 10.5 Wins (-130).

The Lions face the NFL’s easiest schedule in 2026 by opponent win totals.

Non-divisional games come against the NFC South and AFC East with unique games against the Giants, Titans and Cardinals. It’s like Detroit closes an underdog – at most – twice next year.

Detroit finished 9-8 last year, a full win under expectation by point differential. The main cause? A 3-5 record in one-possession games for Dan Campbell’s squad.

Losing Ben Johnson saw a decline in last year’s offensive production. The Lions offense went from third in 2024 offensive DVOA (+19.9%) to seventh in 2025 (+11.8), per ftnfantasy.com.

Drew Petzing arrives to take over as OC in 2026. I’m not sure enough is being made of that addition early in the offseason.

Petzing coordinated the Cardinals’ offense for the last three seasons. In both ‘23 and ‘24, Arizona ranked ninth in rush offense DVOA. Now, he gets a superior running back room.

Detroit dropped from second to 10th in rush offense DVOA annually. However, contract restructures could open up spending power to address the offensive line.

Defensively, I carry optimism about this unit. The team faced the ninth-hardest set of offenses last year while losing defenders left and right to injury.

Although it’s slightly concerning that it happened two years in a row, the 2026 opponent set isn’t intimidating.

By 2025 offensive DVOA ratings, Detroit projects to face the league’s 26th-hardest set of offenses.

Ultimately, I trust the offense to get back on track and lead this team to 11 wins or more. Based on the schedule, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this team hit 14-15.

Most Wins in Lions History

The Lions franchise record for wins in the regular season is 15. They won 15 games in the 2024 regular season, but were knocked out by the Commanders in the divisional round.

Fewest Wins in Lions History

The Lions went 0-16 in 2008, becoming the first NFL franchise to do so. They also went 0-11 in 1942 and have won three or fewer games 14 times.

They’re one of 12 NFL teams that never won the Super Bowl.
