With Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are 72-55-5 (56.7%) to the under in the second half.
When the second-half total comes in between 20 and 26 points, they improve to 45-26-3 (63.4%), including 31-15-1 over the previous three seasons.
But the perfect combination for taking the second half under with Kansas City comes when the Chiefs own a halftime advantage.
On occasions where the Chiefs lead by five or more points at halftime, they’re 41-22-3 to the under, including 20-5-3 when the total closes between 21 and 24 points.
Meanwhile, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is 39-34-1 to the under in the second half. However, the Eagles are 8-10 to the second half under this season with Hurts.
In the two prior seasons, Philadelphia finished 21-14-1 to the under in the second half when Hurts started.
Second Half Spread
As for the second half spread, Mahomes has proved a decent ATS quarterback as an underdog in the second half.
Oddsmakers listed Mahomes as a second-half dog 15 times in his career. Mahomes is 10-4-1 ATS in those spots.
Comparatively, Mahomes produced a 54-58-4 second-half ATS record as a market favorite in the second half.
When Mahomes is a second-half favorite with a lead by a touchdown or more, he drops to 20-34-4 ATS in the second half.
That creates an interesting dilemma for bettors as Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has struggled with a disadvantage.
When Hurts trails by more than four points: 10-10-1 ATS in the second half.
When tied or trailing by three or fewer points: 8-2-1 ATS in the second half, including a perfect 6-0 when tied or within two points.
Conversely, Mahomes produced an 11-6 ATS mark when tied or leading by three or fewer points.
