  • The Indianapolis Colts (8-2) are the current No. 1 seed in the AFC.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) retained the NFC's top spot after a win over Green Bay.
  • Entering Week 10, nine NFC teams own records at or above .500 compared to only eight in the AFC.

If the NFL playoffs began today, home field would run through Indianapolis and Philadelphia.ย

A surprise start from Shane Steichenโ€™s team has the Colts sitting atop the AFC following Week 10. In the NFC, the Eagles (7-2) took over the top spot after Green Bay’s loss to Carolina in Week 9.ย

Philadelphia retained that spot with a 10-7 win over the Packers on MNF, with Green Bay falling to seventh.

As it stands, a lot more intrigue comes in the NFC. Nine teams own records at or above .500 compared to eight teams in the AFC.ย

Here are the current NFL Playoff Brackets for both conferences if the season ended today.ย
