In Week 4, Sean McVay will look to turn around his historical record against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Rams head coach faced Philadelphia seven times in his career, including one postseason game. He posted a dismal 1-6 record in those seven games, with his only win coming in 2020.
In fairness to McVay, his Rams closed as an underdog in six of those seven contests. All games against Philadelphia came with either Jared Goff or Matthew Stafford starting.
More concerning, McVay finished 2-5 ATS in those seven contests.
In 2020, McVay covered and won outright as a two-point underdog. During the 2025 NFL postseason, the Rams covered the spread as seven-point underdogs in a 27-22 loss.
Last year, it looked like McVay would end his poor run against the Eagles. As a 3.5-point dog, the Rams took a 26-7 lead before crumbling to a 33-26 loss.
Based on current NFL odds, oddsmakers price McVay’s Rams as a three-point road favorite in Philadelphia.
