Florida ended its losing streak with a road win at Texas in Week 8.

If the Gators follow that up with a win over Georgia, they would be in a reasonably strong position for both the SEC championship and the College Football Playoff.

Florida College Football Playoff Odds

At BetMGM, Florida is currently +310 to make the 2026 College Football Playoff.

Florida College Football Playoff Prediction

I am predicting Florida will miss the 2026 College Football Playoff.

Florida has the opportunity to stack some great wins, which will keep it in contention for a playoff bid until the very end. But the back-to-back October losses to Missouri and South Carolina completely obliterated the Gators’ margin for error in this year’s playoff race.

I think Florida has a great chance against Georgia, which is why I included the Gators in my college football Week 9 best bets column.

But with road wins at Kentucky and Florida State still to play, there’s probably a loss in there somewhere.

I don’t like Florida football odds to make the playoff at 9-3, even with this potential collection of ranked wins.
