Ja’Marr Chase Fifth-Year Option
Like all first-round picks, Ja’Marr Chase’s rookie contract could be extended by the team option for a fifth year.
In Chase’s case, the fifth-year option is a bit of a no-brainer. Cincinnati exercised the option on April 24. Chase will draw a $21.8 million salary in 2025 and is now scheduled to hit free agency in 2026.

Ja’Marr Chase’s base salary for the 2024 season is $1.06 million. After the addition of roster bonuses, his total take-home cash value will be $4.86 million.
Over the life of the contract, Chase’s average annual salary is $7.7 million.

Ja’Marr Chase received a signing bonus of $19.77 million for his rookie deal.
