It’s a good time to be Jaxon Smith-Njigba. The former Ohio State star was about 170 yards short of setting a new NFL record for receiving yards in a single season last year.

In the postseason, JSN made 17 more catches, helping Seattle capture the Super Bowl for the second time in 15 years. The Seahawks odds market remains hot in 2026.

In March, JSN became the highest-paid receiver in NFL history, at least on a per-year basis.

So, yes, it’s a good time to be Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Contract

In March 2026, Jaxon Smith-Njigba signed a four-year contract extension worth $168.8 million.

JSN is technically still playing on his rookie deal. After the Seahawks picked up his fifth-year option just a few days before finalizing the contract extension, his rookie deal now runs through the end of 2027.

That means his new extension kicks in for 2028 and runs through 2031.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Guaranteed Money

The new JSN contract extension included $69,130,996 in guaranteed money at signing. That encompasses his signing bonus, 2026 compensation, and 2027 compensation.

In addition, JSN’s 2028 compensation becomes fully guaranteed during the 2028 waiver period, and his 2029 compensation becomes fully guaranteed during the 2029 waiver period.

In total, JSN’s contract extension could ultimately deliver $120 million in guaranteed money.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba Salary

Jaxon Smith-Njigba will make $36.5 million from his NFL contract in 2026.

Most of that is the $35 million signing bonus he received after agreeing to the new contract extension.

The rest breaks down into $1.25 million in base salary – the current NFL veteran minimum for a player with three years of experience – and a $250,000 workout bonus.
