  • Oddsmakers priced the Colts at +1300 to win the Super Bowl before acquiring Sauce Gardner.
  • After acquiring Gardner, Indy is now +1100 to win Super Bowl 60.
  • No movement occurred on Indy’s price to win the AFC South.

Oddsmakers have taken note of the Colts’ trade deadline acquisition of Jets corner Sauce Gardner.

Prior to Colts GM Chris Ballard executing the deal – two first-round picks and Adonai Mitchell for Gardner – BetMGM oddsmakers priced the Colts at +1300 to win the Super Bowl

After the acquisition, oddsmakers now price the Colts at +1100 in the Super Bowl odds. Still, six teams sit ahead of the Colts in that NFL odds market.

Another change occurred to the Colts’ AFC Championship odds. Following the trade, Indianapolis moved from +550 to +500 to win the AFC.

Only the Chiefs (+275) and Bills (+300) are priced lower than Indianapolis, the current leader in the AFC Playoff Picture

No change occurred to Indianapolis’ price to win the AFC South. As it stands, the Colts own a two-game advantage over the Jaguars with two head-to-head meetings left between the teams.

For Indianapolis, the trade offers a chance to bolster a defense carrying some question marks.

Lou Anarumo’s unit ranks seventh in points per game and 10th in defensive DVOA. However, the latter figure has come against the second-easiest set of opposing offenses.

This season, Gardner holds the 44th-best PFF coverage grade amongst corners. In 2022 and 2023, the former Jet ranked first in that metric both years.

Gardner finished as an AP First-Team All-Pro both seasons and won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2022.
