Below, NFL survivor pool players can find my Week 5 picks based on NFL odds at BetMGM.

For those new to the format, survivor contests ask players to pick one straight-up winner each week. However, players can only use each team once during the season.

Best NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 5 2026

Cincinnati Bengals (-7.5) at Miami Dolphins

It looks like Ja’Marr Chase is going to miss Sunday’s game. Fellow receiver Tee Higgins remains a question mark as well.

I still think this game offers the first and (maybe) last opportunity to use the Bengals. If Higgins plays, my concern about the Bengals decreases significantly.

To me, Miami looked good against the Vikings largely due to the opponent. Minnesota’s offense operates at a significantly inferior level to the Bengals, which ran unlucky in a loss against Jacksonville.

The Bengals registered four red zone trips to Jacksonville’s two. In Chase’s absence, Higgins caught 11 receptions on 16 targets for 157 yards.

Miami’s corner group still leaves so much to be desired. Without Justin Jefferson, the Vikings offense recorded its best pass offense DVOA rating of the season against Miami.

Defensively, the Bengals have performed markedly better against the run. Entering Week 5, Cincinnati’s defense ranks 15th in rush defense DVOA vs 21st in pass defense.

On Sunday, the Dolphins achieved most of their offensive success via the ground. If Malik Willis has to play catch-up, I trust the Bengals to win in Miami.

Jacksonville Jaguars (-7.5) vs Philadelphia Eagles

I am legitimately concerned the Eagles can’t field an offense on Sunday. Right now, everything seems to be going wrong for this team.

Jacksonville opened as a 3.5-point London favorite. Without any Philadelphia quarterback change, it’s already out to 7.5 as of this writing.

I remain skeptical of the Jaguars defense. However, this isn’t the spot where massive regression hits the unit.

Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert and Tank Bigsby are all going to miss the game. Lane Johnson also retired on Tuesday, leaving Philadelphia with questions along the line.

If Quinyon Mitchell is healthy, the Eagles could maybe win through a strong defensive effort.

Jacksonville’s offense has performed well so far, but one could make the argument it has come against inconsistent defenses.

Liam Coen’s offense recorded a 45.9% pass offense DVOA rating through four games. However, the average drops to +4.8% in games against Denver and New England.

Without Mitchell, though, I question how the Eagles get stops on defense.
