Masters Odds & 2022 Masters Tournament Betting

One year after becoming the first Japanese golfer to win The Masters, Hideki Matsuyama will return to Augusta National searching for a second green jacket and his place in elite company as a back-to-back champion.

In missing the cut by two strokes, Dustin Johnson’s Masters’ defense ended after the second round at Augusta National in 2021. His early departure ensured there wouldn’t be a repeat champion for the 19th consecutive year. And if that streak ends at 19 years with another Matsuyama win in 2022, it will conclude with a big payout for bettors who invested in Matsuyama early. Hours after winning the 2021 Masters, he opened as +2800 in 2022 Masters odds.

Successful defenses of major championships are no longer common, though several golfers have won the same major in back-to-back years since Tiger Woods did it at Augusta in 2001 and 2002. Brooks Koepka did it at both The Open Championship and US PGA Championship, as did Woods in the same two tournaments and Padraig Harrington in The Open Championship. That’s five separate instances of repeat champions in the other three major championships since it last happened at The Masters 18 years ago.

How to Bet on The Masters

At BetMGM, you can check out our Masters’ odds to place futures bets on one golfer, two golfers, or several golfers to win. And come April 7, 2022, when the azaleas bloom and Amen Corner captures the attention of the golf world, you can double down or hedge your bets with live US Masters betting odds.

Whether you like Matsuyama to buck history and become the fourth-ever repeat champion in Masters history, Dustin Johnson to rebound, or a down-ballot golfer to follow the path of Danny Willett and Larry Mize, BetMGM is your ticket for the 2022 Masters odds.
