  • The Seahawks’ 2024 win total is set at 7.5 wins at BetMGM.
  • New head coach Mike McDonald inherits a team that won nine games last year.
  • The case for the Seahawks experiencing negative regression in 2024.

For the 2024 NFL season, the Seahawks win total sits at 7.5 wins at the BetMGM online sportsbook.

Seattle earned their second consecutive nine-win season in 2023, but the organization elected to replace Pete Carroll with Mike McDonald.

Most of Seattle’s offseason moves came on defense. Bobby Wagner, Jordyn Brooks and Damien Lewis all departed, but Jerome Baker and Tyrel Dodson arrived to plug the holes.

Here’s a look at the NFL betting lines for Seattle’s 2024 win total.

Seahawks Win Total Odds

The Seahawks’ season win total is set at 7.5 games.

It’s predicted Seattle is more likely to finish this season with eight or more wins. Currently, the Seahawks are -140 to clear their win total, an implied probability of 58.3%.

Conversely, the Seahawks are +115 to finish under this total. That implies a probability of 46.5%.

Here are the 2024 NFL win totals for all NFC West teams:

  • San Francisco 49ers: 11.5 Wins
  • Los Angeles Rams: 8.5 Wins
  • Seattle Seahawks:7.5 Wins
  • Arizona Cardinals: 6.5 Wins

Seahawks 2024 Win Total Prediction

Seahawks Under 7.5 Wins (+115)

Based on their 2023 regular season results, negative regression could be in the cards for Seattle.

The Seahawks finished 4-1 in games decided by three or fewer points last year. Those four wins led the NFC in such games and saw them T-2nd across the league.

Seattle also finished 6-4 in games decided by under a touchdown. Based on expected record, Seattle played more like a 7.5-9.5 team rather than a 9-8 team.

Considering the departure of an experienced head coach in favor of a rookie leader, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Seattle drop off in that category.

Plus, although the Seahawks face an easier schedule than the league average, schedule makers did them no favors.

According to sharpfootballanalysis.com, Seattle’s net rest edge differential is -13 this season, the fourth-worst mark in the NFL.

Even though Seattle’s offense finished a top-13 unit in EPA per play each of the last two years, I still worry about their defense.

In 2022, the Seahawks ranked 27th in defensive EPA per play. Last year, they dropped to 30th in that metric.

Granted, Seattle plays only eight games this year against sides 10th or better in offensive EPA per play.

But given the departures on defense, it’s hard to see this team making a sizable improvement.

Pair that with their luck from last season, and I’ll back the under on Seattle.

Most Wins in Seahawks History

The Seahawks’ franchise record for most regular season wins is 13 on two occasions. The most recent 13-win season was in 2013, when the Seahawks went 13-3 on their way to a Super Bowl title.

Fewest Wins in Seahawks History

The fewest regular season wins in Seahawks franchise history is two. It happened in their first season in 1976 and then again in 1992.
