Wide receiver Mike Evans has spent nine years in the NFL, all with the Buccaneers.
Mike Evans Salary
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver’s five-year, $82.5 million deal will expire in 2024. He will earn $13 million in base salary this season and $1.5 million in roster bonus.
Mike Evans Cap Hit
The 29-year-old will carry a cap hit of $23,698,500 this year. His cap hit is fourth among wide receivers.
Mike Evans Potential Extension
Evans joined the Bucs in 2018. He’s since become one of the most reliable wide receivers in the league, serving as one of quarterback Tom Brady’s main targets. In 2022, he racked up 77 receptions for 1,124 yards and six touchdowns. He had arguably his best year in 2021, recording a career-high 14 touchdown receptions.
Looking at the roster, space is not a concern for the Bucs. They offloaded Brady, who retired (for real, this time) at the end of last season. Tampa Bay also traded right guard Shaq Mason and cut left tackle Donovan Smith. The Bucs can afford to keep Evans, so it’s likely that an extension will be explored.
