Despite being the champion, Navarette is the betting underdog in boxing odds at +138, while Valdez is the betting favorite at -150.

Navarette is riding off a 32-fight winning streak and is fresh off a ninth-round TKO of Liam Wilson to capture the WBO belt. On the other hand, Valdez has rebounded from a unanimous decision loss to Shakur Stevenson in April 2022 with a unanimous decision victory over Adam Lopez.
