Costa Rica’s pride, Hanna Gabriels, won her last boxing fight in April 2021 against Martha Patricia Lara Gaytan via a second-round TKO finish to successfully capture the vacant WBA Female World Light Heavyweight title and WBC Female World Heavyweight title. It was also a successful jump for Gabriels in weight as she was a mainstay in the super welterweight division.

Because of her impressive showing in her previous fight, “La Amazona Black” maintained her status as a top name in boxing odds. But when will the former super welterweight and former light heavyweight champion return to action?

It is Gabriels’ opportunity to avenge her loss to Shields in June 2018, where she received a unanimous decision loss. Additionally, Gabriels has the chance to give Shields her first professional defeat.
