Houston Astros — Aug./Sept. 2019
The Astros hold the top three spots for largest moneyline odds, all of which came in the 2019 season. Houston had odds of -521 against the Los Angeles Angels on Sept. 22, -518 against the Detroit Tigers on Aug. 21, and -503 against the Tigers on Aug. 22.
While the Astros won their games on Aug. 22 and Sept. 22, bettors on all three of the above games didn’t walk away entirely happy. Despite their considerable moneyline odds, the Astros lost 2-1 to the Tigers on Aug. 21 in quite the upset to the home crowd.
Los Angeles Dodgers — June 4, 2016
When they took on the Atlanta Braves on Jun. 4, 2016, the Dodgers had moneyline odds of -485. Playing at their home field of Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles eventually won the game 4-0, proving why the team’s odds were so incredible.
New York Mets — Sept. 25, 2019
The Mets had impressive moneyline odds of -468 when they faced the Miami Marlins on Sept. 25, 2019. Unsurprisingly, the team Mets ended up beating the Marlins 10-3 on the road in Miami, making big moneyline bettors very happy.
