The other three arenas with 20,000-plus seats are the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Capital One Arena in Washington and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Nine arenas can accommodate 19,000-plus fans and the other 16 arenas have a capacity between 18,000-plus and 16,000-plus.ย
On the other hand, the two smallest NBA arenas are the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, which has 16,867 and 16,600 maximum capacity, respectively.
The newest NBA arena will open in 2024, as the Los Angeles Clippers will have a new home, Intuit Dome. This marks the separation from its city rival, the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom they have shared the home floor since joining the league. Intuit Dome will have an estimated capacity of 18,000.
