For much of group play, the Knicks were the favorites to win the in-season tournament. They have the best offense in the league and are 6.5-point favorites over the Hawks, who upset the Boston Celtics (the original favorite) on the opening night of group play.

Based on the latest NBA betting lines, my favorite Hawks vs. Knicks NBA Cup prediction is over 7.5 assists for Jalen Brunson in a game that should allow the New York point guard to put on a show.
Brunson has averaged 7.8 assists per game while leading the best offense in the league this season. He finished with 11 dimes in 35 minutes against the Toronto Raptors on Monday, even after rolling his ankle during the game.
Over the last two weeks, Brunson has averaged 55.9 passes made and 14.8 potential assists per game. He’s recorded double-digit dimes in back-to-back contests.
I expect Brunson to clear this mark in a potential track meet with the Hawks on Wednesday.
