Borgata visitors can enjoy a special treat this weekend, during the first week of the 2022 NCAA Tournament: a meet and greet with five-time NBA champion Ron Harper.

Harper will be available for a public meet and greet on Saturday, March 19, from 4:00-5:30 EDT at the BetMGM Sports Zone and Central Conference Center at the Borgata in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Harper will also be available for private meet and greets with VIP online players throughout the weekend.

Harper is a native of Ohio, born in Dayton and played his college ball for Miami (OH). He is perhaps best known for a five-year stint with the Chicago Bulls, who signed him following the first retirement of Michael Jordan. He remained with the Bulls through 1999, winning three championships as a backcourt starter throughout the second Jordan threepeat.

Harper followed Phil Jackson to Los Angeles for the final two years of his professional career, 1999-2001, where he won two more championships alongside the Shaq and Kobe Lakers.

Harper posted a career 14/4/4 stat line in the NBA. His college jersey No. 34 has been retired at Miami.

Harper has been in the news more than usual this year because his son, Ron Harper Jr., is the leading scorer for the Rutgers men’s basketball team. The Scarlet Knights played Notre Dame in one of the First Four games on Wednesday night.

Harper Jr. averaged15.6 points per game this season. He is currently projected as a potential second-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
