Drafted No. 71 in 2014 by the Cleveland Browns, inside linebacker Christian Kirksey is on his third NFL team, the Houston Texans.

Christian Kirksey Salary

Kirksey signed a two-year, $10,000,000 contract with the Texans in 2022. It included a $2,000,000 signing bonus, $4,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $5,000,000.

Christian Kirksey Cap Hit

The 30-year-old carries a $6,250,000 cap hit in 2023.

Christian Kirksey Potential Extension

Kirksey has found a stable role with the Texans, playing the third-highest snap count of his career. He typically averages between two and three sacks per year and is more of a tackler, which saw him land 119 tackles in 2022.

If Kirksey can continue finding success within the Texans’ defensive system, there’s no reason he won’t find himself with a similar contract to the one he signed before the 2022 season. A soon-to-be 31-year-old free agent, Kirksey could be looking for another two-year deal with around $6 million per season.
