During the 2010 season, the Seattle Seahawks finished 7-9, which was good enough for first place in the NFC West.

Seattle was the first NFL club to make the playoffs with a below .500 record. They defeated the New Orleans Saints in the wild-card round, 41-36.ย

The Seahawks would eventually lose to the Chicago Bears in the divisional round, 35-24.ย

Four years later, the Carolina Panthers finished 7-8-1, winning the NFC South. The 2014 Panthers would defeat the Arizona Cardinals in the wild-card round, 27-16, before losing in the divisional round to Seattle, 31-17.
