But Jacobs’ future with the team is now facing long-term questions after he was arrested on May 26 by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department in Wisconsin on charges of battery, domestic abuse, disorderly conduct, and victim intimidation.
Jacobs “vehemently denies the allegations,” and the Brown County District Attorney hasn’t decided whether formal charges are appropriate.
Jacobs may ultimately be vindicated. Or, he could end up missing significant time with the Packers while the legal process plays out.
Either way, there’s a fair amount of scrutiny on Jacobs’ current contract situation.

In 2024, Josh Jacobs signed a four-year contract with the Packers worth $48 million.
Jacobs’ contract included a $12.5 million signing bonus but no additional guaranteed money beyond that.

In 2026, Josh Jacobs will make $11.5 million from his NFL contract.
That total breaks down into $10.2 million in base salary, a $600,000 workout bonus, and an additional $41,765 for every game he is active. If Jacobs is active for every game, that would total $700,000.
