Tunsil is in the final year of his second NFL contract, which began in 2021 with his three-year $66 million extension. He’ll only have a base salary of $2 million in 2023 but will earn a signing bonus of $30 million due to restructures.

Tunsil agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Texans this March worth $75 million, $60 million of which is guaranteed. The deal will average $25 million annually, resetting the left tackle market for years to come.
