Super Bowl XLV was the last Super Bowl played in the Dallas metropolitan area. The game has never been played in the city of Dallas.

The Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-25, at AT&T Stadium (then called Cowboys Stadium) on Feb. 6, 2011. It remains the only Super Bowl played in the Dallas metro.

Three more Super Bowls have been played in the state of Texas, all in Houston.
