After completing the final year of a four-year, $3,187,780 contract, Pollard will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The deal included $667,780 in guaranteed money, an average annual salary of $796,945, and a $667,780 signing bonus.

Playing in a contract year, Pollard posted the best numbers of his career in 2022, racking up 1,378 total yards (1,007 rushing, 371 receiving) and scoring 12 touchdowns en route to earning Pro Bowl honors. Unfortunately, his season ended on a down note as the 25-year-old suffered a fractured left fibula in the Cowboys’ divisional round loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Pollard recently underwent surgery with the expectation that he would be ready for training camp. While the injury may deter some teams, the former Memphis Tiger should still have plenty of suitors.
That said, Dallas may hesitate to offer Pollard a long-term contract, particularly after watching Ezekiel Elliott decline after signing his massive six-year, $90 million extension in 2019. If the Cowboys still want Pollard on their roster next season without the potential burden of a long-term deal, the franchise tag is also an option.
