Quail Hollow, the site of the 2025 PGA Championship, enjoys a rich history as a regular stop on the PGA Tour.
Save for 2017 and 2022, Quail Hollow hosted a tour event each year on the schedule. In each of the last two years, the stop qualified as one of the Tour’s signature events.
At the 2025 PGA, Jordan Spieth jokingly referred to the course as “Rory McIlroy Country Club.” That’s due to McIlroy’s four wins at Quail Hollow, the most at one site by the Northern Irishman.
In addition to McIlroy, Quail Hollow produced high-calibre winners recently. Four of the last five winners here also own major championship titles.

Where is Quail Hollow Golf Course?
Quail Hollow is located just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.
The course, designed by George Cobb and previously renovated by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio, has hosted a PGA Tour event each year since 2003.
In 2017, Quail Hollow’s normal stop switched to Eagle Point Golf Club. That year, Quail Hollow hosted the PGA Championship.
In 2022, the Wells Fargo Championship moved to TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm. Quail Hollow served as the host for the President’s Cup that season.
