With his performance at the PGA Championship, local club pro Michael Block became the biggest story in golf.
Not only did he finish T-15, which got him into the 2024 PGA Championship, but he also got the last sponsor’s exemption into this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge, which has an $8.7 million purse.

Michael Block Prediction
It will be nearly impossible for Block to match the magic he had last week at Oak Hill, but Colonial Country Club does suit his game. It is not a long course, and it’s all about positioning off the tee.
Block will likely have shorter clubs into greens, making things a little easier for him.
Fatigue mentally and physically may come into play this week, but Block said after the PGA Championship, his goal is to make the cut, and with the way he’s playing, it certainly can happen.
