It is the second time in 2023 that the Las Vegas-based promotion is headlining an event in Australia after the huge success of UFC 284 last February.

“The Last Stylebender” is the heavy betting favorite to successfully defend his championship in UFC odds at -650 against “Tarzan,” who is tagged as the overwhelming betting underdog in BetMGM’s online sportsbook at +450. Adesanya reclaimed his throne against rival Alex Pereira in April 2023 via second-round knockout. Meanwhile, Strickland earned the title shot by winning his two previous fights against Nassourdine Imavov and Abus Magomedov.
