  • WTA Montreal is the women’s half of the Rogers Cup. The men are playing in Toronto.
  • Iga Swiatek is the No. 1 seed and a +225 betting favorite at BetMGM.
  • Aryna Sabalenka is the No. 2 seed and has won two of her last three against Swiatek.

It’s not just the men’s tour seeing major action this week. While the ATP plays its latest Masters draw in Toronto, the women’s tour is gathered for a 1000-level event of their own just a few hundred miles northeast in Montreal.

Naturally, BetMGM has all the tennis odds you could need for such an event.

WTA Montreal Draw

Polish phenom Iga Swiatek returns to the court in Montreal as the No. 1 seed in this week’s tournament. Swiatek, who remains No. 1 in the world, took last week off after winning her home tournament in Warsaw the previous week.

As reflected in the futures table, Swiatek’s biggest competition this week is likely No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka, a strong hardcourt player and reigning Australian Open champion. Sabalenka is 3-5 against Swiatek overall but has won two of their last three head-to-head matches.

Last month’s Wimbledon champion, Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic, is 20-to-1. She’s in a challenging quarter with major American challengers like Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula.

Elena Rybakina, the No. 3 seed, will also be a trendy choice to lift the Rogers Cup trophy this weekend. She has been to two Grand Slam finals recently (Wimbledon ‘22, Australian Open ‘23) and has a reasonable path through her quarter.

WTA Montreal Schedule

The main draw for the WTA Montreal tennis tournament will begin on Monday, Aug. 7 and run through Sunday, Aug. 13.
