  • ATP Acapulco serves as the official Mexican Open tennis tournament.
  • The total prize purse for the 2025 Mexican Open is more than $2.5 million.

Menโ€™s tennis is on the rise as the calendar hits late February. The hardcourt season is still building toward the Sunshine Double in March, with clay season still over the horizon.

One menโ€™s tour opportunity is the ATP half of the Dubai Open, which begins just as the womenโ€™s draw is ending.ย

For players who have already been playing on the American swing, there is a convenient alternative. A quick trip south down to Acapulco, Mexico, provides a second opportunity for a 500-point draw before Indian Wells begins on March 5.ย

While the Mexican Open carries a smaller prize purse of only $2,585,410, players donโ€™t have to deal with the long plane ride out to and from the Persian Gulf. So there is that.
