  • The 2024 Hamburg Open is the biggest tennis draw the week after Wimbledon.
  • The total prize purse in Hamburg is just over $2 million.

Thereโ€™s no rest for the weary in the world of tennis betting.

With the Wimbledon menโ€™s singles championship ending on Monday, many of the menโ€™s tour players will be taking a well-earned rest. Mid-July marks the end of grass season, which is played in a short burst after the spring clay season.ย

Many players have been going hard, week after week, since the Australian Open in January.

But not everyone is taking a break. Some tour players head straight to Germany to play in the Hamburg Open.ย

The Hamburg Open is the only 500-point tournament on the docket for the week of July 15 on either the menโ€™s or womenโ€™s tour. As such, bettors who focus on tennis odds (like myself) will be keying in on what occurs on the Hamburg clay for potential bets.

The Hamburg draw includes Argentinaโ€™s Sebastian Baez, clay wizard Holger Rune, and returning champion Alexander Zverev. As usual, thereโ€™s quite a bit of prize money on the line.ย
