Chase Young’s Potential Extension
Young has shown nothing but promise when healthy for Washington. Despite the knee injury that the defensive star suffered, the former Buckeye remains in line for a nice payday come extension time.
The Commanders have missed the playoffs the last couple of years despite being a young team on the rise. However, Washington’s defense isn’t to blame. With the hope that the Commanders’ quarterback situation can be resolved, the defense will hopefully be able to shine in the postseason.
Comparing his numbers, age, and potential to similar players, he will likely be looking at an offer around a four-year, $72 million deal with an average of around $18 million per year, according to Spotrac projections.
