- Unlike the concurrent China Open, the Japan Open is only a menโs tournament.
- The total prize purse is more than $1.8 million.
Following an arduous fortnight of US Open tennis odds at Flushing Meadows, the menโs tennis tour has mostly enjoyed some time off.ย
While the womenโs tour has remained in action in Guadalajara and Korea, the ATP has enjoyed a quieter period of rest and recovery following the conclusion of the final Grand Slam event of the year.
This week, the menโs tour is back in action. After a weekend of the Laver Cup in Berlin, the ATP has caught up with the WTA in Asia.ย
While the main event over the next few days is the joint tournament happening at the China Open in Beijing, the men are also playing a separate tournament in Tokyo.
Both events are 500-point events with medium-sized purses. The winner of the 2024 Japan Open will receive approximately $340,000, while the total prize money in play is $1,818,380.ย
The draw only features 32 players, but itโs an exciting group of names that includes Hubert Hurkacz, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, 2023 singles champion Ben Shelton, and No. 1 seed Taylor Fritz.ย
BetMGM will have tennis lines for all the excellent Japan Open matches throughout the tournament.ย
