The Cleveland Guardians were last in the postseason in 2022, but they are in a great position to return in the 2024 MLB playoff picture.

Guardians Playoff Chances

The Guardians playoff odds are -2000, which implies a 95.24% chance of making the postseason.

Their playoff odds are the best in the AL Central:

  • Guardians: -2000
  • Twins: -300
  • Royals: -115
  • Tigers: +1400
  • White Sox: Off the Board

Guardians Playoff Seed

If the postseason began today, the Guardians would be the No. 2 seed in the six-team American League bracket. They’re six games ahead of the Minnesota Twins for the division lead in the AL Central.

At this point, the Guardians would have a bye in the AL Wild Card round.

Here’s the current AL bracket:

Last Time the Guardians Made the Playoffs

The Guardians last made the playoffs in 2022, falling 3-2 to the New York Yankees in the 2022 ALDS.

Cleveland’s most recent trip to the World Series was 2016 when it lost to the Chicago Cubs in seven games.
