- There are 240 players in the MLB Hall of Fame.
- The New York Yankees have the most Hall of Famers with 27.
- There are four active MLB teams with no players in the Hall of Fame.
For players, managers, and officials alike, there’s no greater honor in MLB than being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
A new class of Hall of Famers is inducted in Cooperstown each year, and as of January 2023, there are 341 elected members — 269 former major league players, 40 executives/pioneers, 22 managers, and 10 umpires.
To the outside world, icon, trailblazer and legend are a few words to describe Minnie Miñoso.

When a player is inducted into the Hall of Fame, his bronze plaque is enshrined with the logo of the primary club he played for. Since many Hall of Famers played on multiple teams during their career, selecting a primary team for their induction can often be challenging.
If there are multiple teams in consideration, a player’s primary club is typically decided by the city in which the player defined his career or had the biggest impact on the game of baseball.
If multiple teams had significance to a player and there isn’t a clear team he wishes his career to be specifically remembered alongside, he can elect to enter the Hall of Fame without a logo enshrined on his cap.
In the Class of 2019, Hall of Famers Roy Halladay and Mike Mussina were inducted with blank caps because they had each played for more than one team that had significantly impacted their careers.
