Based on the latest baseball playoff odds, my best Dodgers vs. Yankees World Series prediction is under 5.5 strikeouts for Los Angeles starter Jack Flaherty ahead of Wednesday’s Game 5 due to a projected edge on the wager.
Flaherty struck out six batters against the Yankees in his first start during Game 1 of the World Series. He gave up two runs on five hits across 5 1/3 innings.
But I’d be surprised if Flaherty has as long of a leash with the Dodgers hoping to end the series in New York. In his previous postseason start, Flaherty didn’t whiff a batter in three innings against the New York Mets.
