  • The Boston Celtics are -140 favorites to win the Atlantic Division.
  • Boston has won three straight division titles.

Although the Atlantic Division is the best grouping in the Eastern Conference, the Boston Celtics enter the 2024-25 season as minus-odds favorites to remain on top.

Fresh off an NBA championship and a third consecutive division crown, Boston is -165 to place first in the Atlantic. But the Celtics will have more competition this season, with the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks making moves in the offseason to bolster their roster.

How will this division shake out in 2024-25? Hereโ€™s a look at the latest NBA odds and my best bet for the Atlantic Division:

Atlantic Division Winner Odds 2024-25

  • Boston Celtics -150
  • New York Knicks +200
  • Philadelphia 76ers +500
  • Toronto Raptors +25000
  • Brooklyn Nets +50000

Atlantic Division Betting Prediction

Prediction: Boston to win Atlantic Division (-140)

Note: This line has moved to -150.

The best way to play the latest Atlantic Division odds might be by identifying which team will join the Celtics in the top two.

The Knicks (+160) and 76ers (+225) have similar odds to finish second in this division behind the Celtics. However, bettors must have a strong opinion on which team is better entering the year.

But if you are willing to pay a minus odds price, the Celtics are the obvious choice to win the Atlantic.

The Celtics had a -250 preseason value to win the division last summer, only to be trading at -400 by December and -900 in January.

Boston won the division by 14 games, thanks to a 15-2 record against Atlantic foes.

While the division should be more competitive, the Celtics are built for regular-season success. They have the deepest team in the league, which is why they have won 51-plus games in three consecutive seasons.

Boston might not win it all again this year, but this team should comfortably finish atop the Atlantic.
