  • Knicks PG Jalen Brunson won Clutch Player of the Year in 2024-25.

New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson was named the NBAโ€™s Clutch Player of the Year for the 2024-25 campaign, becoming the first Eastern Conference player to win the award in the three-year history of this accolade.

Brunson averaged an NBA-best 5.6 points in clutch situations, which are defined as possessions in the final five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime when the score is within five points.

He finished second in total points (156) scored in the clutch, marking the first time a player won this award without leading that metric.

This page will be updated when NBA odds for the 2026 Clutch Player of the Year market become available later in the offseason.

Odds to Win NBA Clutch Player of the Year

NBA betting lines for Clutch Player of the Year wonโ€™t be available until closer to the 2025-26 campaign, but this market is worth exploring throughout the regular season. There is value in keeping an eye on these odds.

For example, I took a 55/1 flier on Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards in the regular season’s final weeks. He finished third in voting for this award after leading the league with 157 total points in the clutch.

It marked the first time voters didnโ€™t give this award to the player who led the league in total points in the clutch.

Deโ€™Aaron Fox won the first Clutch Player of the Year award after posting an NBA-best 194 points in the clutch, while Stephen Curry claimed the honor in 2023-24 after pacing the league with 198 points in the clutch.

Brunsonโ€™s 156 points in the clutch fall short of those totals, though he likely would have finished with better numbers if not for an injury in the spring. Brunson played in 65 games overall, including 28 that came down to the clutch.

For comparison, Edwards played in the most games (42) that came down to the clutch.

After betting on Nikola Jokiฤ‡ at 35/1 last preseason before his runner-up finish to Brunson, Iโ€™ll be interested to see his starting price tag in this market. He commands a high usage for a Denver Nuggets team that continues to decline around him.

LeBron James could also be worth consideration if he chooses to return to the Los Angeles Lakers next year. He could settle into a role as a fourth-quarter player, particularly with Luka Donฤiฤ‡ leading the way for the rest of the game.
