  • The San Antonio Spurs have the No. 4 pick in the NBA Draft.
  • Stephon Castle is -200 to be the fourth pick in this yearโ€™s draft.

After selecting their franchise player with the No. 1 overall pick last year, the San Antonio Spurs hope the No. 4 pick in this yearโ€™s draft can be the next step in their rebuild process.

But who will join center Victor Wembanyama, the reigning Rookie of the Year, in San Antonio?

The latest NBA Draft odds at the online sportsbook help answer that question:

NBA Draft Odds โ€“ No. 4 Overall Pick

PlayerOdds
Stephon Castle-200
Donovan Clingan+450
Reed Sheppard+650
Matas Buzelis+700
Zaccharie Risacher+2000
Alex Sarr+3000
Dalton Knecht+3000
Rob Dillingham+5000
Tidjane Salaรผn+5000
Cody Williams+5000

Prediction for No. 4 Pick: Matas Buzelis (+700)

  • Pick made at +800 odds on June 18

Itโ€™s unsurprising to see UConn guard Stephon Castle as the betting favorite. The Spurs could really use some help in the backcourt in their attempt to build around Wemby.

However, they also might like their options for that position at No. 8, particularly with someone like Devin Carter, who is linked there. That could allow San Antonio to shoot for more upside at a different position with No. 4.

Matas Buzelis, a 6-foot-9 forward, makes a lot of sense for the Spurs. Last year, he flashed his shot-creation and defensive ability with G League Ignite. He averaged 14.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

There is even a scenario where the Spurs and Hawks work out a trade involving Zaccharie Risacher (if Atlanta takes him with the top pick) for Buzelis, as the Spurs’ interest in Risacher has been well documented.

Either way, I still have hope for this NBA betting pick.

NBA Betting Splits: No. 4 Pick

Although Castle is the betting favorite in the No. 4 pick market, bettors have been split on what the Spurs will do with this selection.

Castle has received 36.3% of the bets, while Donovan Clingan has garnered 73.7% of the handle.
