- The Houston Rockets have the No. 3 pick in the NBA Draft.
- Reed Sheppard is +220 to be the third pick in this year’s draft.
The third pick of the NBA Draft is where things get interesting.
The Houston Rockets have the No. 3 overall pick after a 41-41 campaign last year. They could go in various ways, including trading the pick for a player who could improve their postseason chances next year.
Here’s a look at the latest NBA Draft odds at the online sportsbook to help figure out what the Rockets might do with the No. 3 pick.

Prediction for No. 3 Pick: Zaccharie Risacher (+900)
My prediction and best bet for the No. 1 overall pick odds is center Donovan Clingan.
Alex Sarr is my plus-money prediction for the No. 2 overall pick odds.
Zaccharie Risacher would make the most sense in this scenario as the No. 3 pick. He’s currently being mocked as No. 1 overall and is the betting favorite to go No. 2.
But if the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards opt to boost their frontcourt, the Rockets would run to add a talented wing in this year’s draft.
Risacher is viewed as a typical 3-and-D wing, something every team could use more of in the modern NBA. He is a catch-and-shoot threat and someone who can shoot on the move as well.
Thanks to his 6-foot-9 wingspan, Risacher’s best attribute is his defensive ability. He will make an immediate impact on the defensive end of the floor.
It might not seem likely right now, but I’m not convinced Risacher’s profile is a top-two pick. This +900 flier could look much better in the coming weeks.
