Michigan menโ€™s basketball missed the NCAA Tournament in 2023.ย

Last season fell apart under head coach Juwan Howard, as the Wolverines finished 18-16. Both Kobe Bufkin and Jett Howard were first-round draft picks off the 2023 team.ย

It was the first season Michigan did not play in the NCAA Tournament since 2016.ย

Last Time Michigan Reached the Final Four

Michiganโ€™s last trip to the Final Four was in 2018, when former coach John Beilein ultimately guided the Wolverines to the national championship game. They were one game short of winning it all, losing 79-62 to Villanova.
