Millions of college basketball fans have filled out brackets this month, hunting for every last bit of research that could point them toward a correct national championship prediction.

Naturally, bracketology is all guesswork, and 10 different people might believe in 10 different teams. But when it comes to betting odds, there is actually a pretty clear answer on who the favorite is to win this year’s national championship.

Who Is Predicted to Win March Madness 2023?

With the field now limited to just four teams, UConn is the odds-on favorite to win March Madness 2023, according to BetMGM’s college basketball betting odds

UConn is currently -125.

Typically, the betting markets are dominated by top seeds. However, two of the No. 1 seeds (Kansas and Purdue) lost during the first week of the 2023 tournament.

The remaining No. 1 seeds, Alabama and Houston, both lost in the Sweet 16. They were the two top favorites and had attracted a plurality of market bets.

At the BetMGM online sportsbook, UConn opened the season at +6600 to win the national championship.
